IKEA receives 30 electric transporters from QUANTRON
QUANTRON supports IKEA in its mission to become climate positive by 2030 and supplies a logistics centre near Vienna with environmentally friendly vans.
Thanks to the changeover, around 117,000 deliveries can already be made emission-free in the first year and CO2 emissions can thus be reduced by more than 300 tonnes. This corresponds to more than 1.5 million kilometres.
The first all-electric Q-Light from QUANTRON was already used for extensive testing at the IKEA logistics centre in June. With a range of at least 170 km, a drive power of 100 kW and a maximum charging power of 70 kW, the e-transporters are ideally equipped for routes between IKEA locations and customers’ delivery addresses. The vehicles will initially be used for deliveries to all 23 districts of Vienna and within a radius of 30 km from the logistics centre. The electricity for the vehicles is generated by photovoltaic systems and thus comes from 100 per cent renewable energies.
