Collection and storage of personal data, as well as the type and purpose, and its use

Data and information are automatically collected from the computer system of the calling computer when you access our website. This includes: information about the browser type and version used, your operating system, internet service provider, IP address, the date and time of access, and potentially any websites from which your system accessed our website, as well as any websites that are accessed by your system from our website.

The IP address is stored temporarily so that the website can be delivered to your computer. Your IP address has to be stored for this purpose for the duration of the visit.

Legal basis:

Processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interest in an online presence and the associated data processing; the legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ‘General Data Protection Regulation’). (In Germany named Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO).

SSL and TLS encryption

Our site uses SSL and TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us as the site operator. Accordingly, third parties are not able to read the data that you submit via this website. You can tell if a connection is encrypted because the address will start with “https://” in the address bar of your browser, and a lock symbol will also be displayed there.

Withdrawing your consent for data processing

We are unable to provide and operate the website without collecting data and storing it in log files. Thus, users are unable to object to this.

Right to complain to the competent supervisory authority

As the data subject, you have a right to complain to the competent supervisory authority in the event of an infringement of data protection law. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the Data Protection Commissioner of the federal state in which our company’s headquarters is located. Here is a list of Data Protection Commissioners and their contact details: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.

Right to information, rectification, blocking, erasure

Within the framework of existing legislation, you have the right at any time to get free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of data processing, as well as a right to the rectification, blocking or erasure of this data as required. If you have further questions concerning this or the topic of personal data, you can contact us at any time using the address given in the Legal Notice.

Contact form

Data submitted via the contact form, including your contact details, is stored to process your enquiry or for the purpose of answering follow-up questions. This data is not disclosed without your consent.

The following data is recorded in the input mask: name, company, email address, telephone number, subject, your message text.

Data entered in the contact form is processed solely on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time; an informal communication by email to info@quantron.net is sufficient for this purpose. This does not affect the legality of data processing procedures performed before consent is withdrawn.

We retain data submitted via the contact form until you ask us to erase it, withdraw your consent for storage, or there is no longer a need to store this data. This does not affect mandatory legal provisions – especially limitations of liability.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your web browser stores on your device. Cookies help in making our online presence more user-friendly, effective, and secure.

Some cookies are “session cookies”. These cookies are deleted automatically at the end of your browser session. In contrast, other cookies remain on your device until you delete them. We use such cookies to recognize you when you return to our website.

With a modern web browser, you can monitor, restrict, or prevent the placement of cookies. Many web browsers can be configured so that cookies are deleted automatically when the program closes. Deactivating cookies may restrict the functionality of our website.

The placement of cookies that are needed to execute electronic communication processes, or to provide specific functions you require (e.g., shopping cart), is effected on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure smooth and error-free technical provision of our services. If other cookies are required (e.g., for analysis functions), these are handled separately in this Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics, Google Maps

We use Google Analytics, a web-analysis service from Google LLC (“Google”) for the purposes of our legitimate interests (i.e., interest in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our online presence within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework, thereby guaranteeing compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).

Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of our website, to create reports about activity within our website, and to provide other services to us concerning the use of our website and internet activity. The processed data can be used to create pseudonymous usage profiles.

We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means your IP address is abbreviated by Google in the Member States of the European Union or in Other States Party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is your full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there.

The IP address transmitted from your browser is not combined with other data by Google. You can prevent cookie storage using the settings of your browser software; you can also prevent Google capturing and processing the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following address: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de, or via the following link:

You will find more information on data use by Google, and options for settings and withdrawal of consent in Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and in Google’s pop-up advertisement settings (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

Your personal data is deleted or anonymized after 14 months.

Font Awesome

This site uses so-called web fonts for standardized presentation of font types. These web fonts are provided by Fonticons, Inc. When you access a page, your browser loads the necessary web fonts in its browser cache so that texts and fonts can be displayed correctly. The browser you are using has to connect to the servers of Fonticons, Inc. for this purpose. This informs Fonticons, Inc. that our website has been accessed from your IP address. We use web fonts in the interest of making our online presence uniform and attractive. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Your computer uses a standard font if your browser does not support web fonts. You will find more information about Font Awesome at https://fontawesome.com/help and in the Privacy Policy of Fonticons, Inc.: https://fontawesome.com/privacy.

YouTube

Our website uses YouTube plug-ins to integrate and display video content. The provider of this video portal is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the integrated YouTube plug-in, a connection is established with the YouTube servers. This tells YouTube which of our pages you have accessed. YouTube can assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile if you are logged in to your YouTube account. You can prevent this by logging out in advance. We use YouTube in the interest of making our online presence attractive. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You will find more information on how user data is handled in YouTube’s Privacy Policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
